Meet The Man

I'm originally from Los Altos, though I've spent the last several years living, going to school, and working in Chico. I just recently graduated from CSU, Chico with a B.A. in Communication Design with the option in Media Arts, a minor in marketing, and a certificate in electronic printing and publishing.

I finished college with a 3.425 major GPA, and a 3.45 GPA in marketing classes. Many of my design classes, and nearly all of my marketing classes were geared toward advertising, whether it was copywriting, design, or planning and implementation advertising is what peaked my interests in school. I was interested in media and media production, but what I found more interesting was the applications for media in business and marketing.

I had the opportunity to work a variety of internships during my time as a student spanning many different fields including local news, video production, advertising, and sales. The first internship was as a Fox 30 production intern working on local commercials, I also worked for NCN Action News as an intern in their sports department filming highlights for local news. I worked two summers for Graduate Marketing Inc. selling advertising to local businesses in Chico and Davis the first year, before being promoted to Senior Advertising Coordinator and expanded my coverage to include Reno as well as Chico, and Davis. Competed in the 2009 National Student Advertising Competition (NSAC) as a member of the CSU, Chico team, we finished second behind Cal, with UN Reno rounding out the top three. I was also a member of the American Advertising Federation (AAF) club at CSU, Chico for 2009.

I worked an internship my final semester and continuing into the summer for Impact Media Group Inc where I helped with production, and advertising initiatives. I assisted with the launch of which is an online professional directory which was coupled with television advertising packages that promoted both the site, and the business. While there I also developed an SMS (text message) marketing plan for one of their clients, and I had sorted out our application provider, where we were going to get the shortcode, and how we were going to incorporate it with their current advertising strategy only to have it not come to fruition due to the economy.
